It’s not often that, mere months after becoming the finalists of an Indian reality singing show, the contestants go on to headline sell out concerts one after the other in the UK. Just this time last year, Salman Ali, Nitin Kumar, Neelanjana Ray and Ankush Bhardwaj were unknown singers, trying to make their mark in an already competitive and cut-throat industry. But after their incredible performances on Sony’s Indian Idol Season 10, in which they were lauded as the superstars of tomorrow by big names of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Randhir Kapoor, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan and others, these four contestants were catapulted into the limelight as well into the hearts of their millions of fans around the world.

Organised by ‘Rock On Music’ one of the leading South Asian music promoters in Britain, a previous highly successful tour in February 2019 created such a demand that they had been forced to host another round of the UK tour in April. Just this week in Birmingham, over 2,000 fans came together at the esteemed venue of The International Convention Centre to be serenaded by the young four stars.

One by one they all took to the stage showcasing their talent, leaving the audience starstruck. Ankush Bhardwaj regaled classic Mohammed Rafi songs, whilst Neelanjana Ray took a trip down memory lane with vintage Lata Mangeshkar numbers. The ever humble Nitin Kumar entertained all with a melody of songs ranging from evergreen classics to modern pop beats entwined with anecdotes from his journey so far. The show finale and understandably the most popular on the night was the eventual winner of Indian Idol season 10, the young melodious Salman Ali. With his high pitch range and oozing charisma, Salman’s performance forced the audience to get on to their feet and dance till the last note had been sung.

Accompanied by the British Asian award winning band 515 crew, the harmonious evening exhibited the phenomenal talent of the young playback singers who though maybe new to the industry, have cemented their place as the singing superstars of tomorrow.

After the extraordinary success of the 2019 tours, Salman Ali will be back in the UK to perform in February 2020 in London Wembley Arena. Rock On Music has been bringing many talented singers to UK from a decade including Arjit Singh , Shreya Ghosal , Adnan Sami , Sunidhi Chauhan , Atif Aslam and many moreā€¦
