Rose Rajdeep Kaur Marlok (AKA Rose) is bidding to become the face of Mrs India UK 2019, and knows she can count on the support of her two biggest fans – daughter Tara Marok age 12 and son Angad Elvis Singh Marok age 9.
The 37 year old, who has always wanted to become a role model and make a difference for the right causes, says she has always loved being in front of the camera but was never quite sure if she could make it.
Now she has beaten more than 250 women to reach the final of the Mrs India UK competition, her first beauty pageant. Rose will be strutting down the catwalk and competing against 28 other women from across the UK for the crown on 14th April 2019 in London at Hilton Tower Bridge.
If successful she could win a modelling contract, a chance to represent UK on international level and plenty of fashion and beauty perks. Along with this she will get a platform to support all the causes close to her heart.
Rose , from Solihull, entered this year hoping to find an opportunity to break into the tough industry and now she is ready for a chance to shine.
She said: “I just absolutely love it and I’m so excited to be in the final. This was a way to test myself and really see if I have what it takes to reach the finals and become a role model, which I feel passionate about and enjoy and this is it. ‘’
She added: “If you asked me this time last year I would not thought of doing Mrs India UK, I work for the family business Acocks green dental practice along with my husband Dr Tarlok singh Marok just outside Solihull. As my children started to get older I decided to try something different, with the encouragement from my husband and family, I thought this could be what I have been searching for to make a difference in other women’s lives.”
To help realise her full potential Rose has been working to promote causes close to her heart such as domestic violence, mental health and allergy awareness and has been going to London for the past few months to complete each segment of Mrs India UK such as to attend mentoring session and to compete in fitness, photoshoot and talent round.
“It’s a really hard industry to get into but I have a chance to really give this a go and pursue my dream, I want to do it for myself and for my kids, I feel like this is the time to really go for it and make difference”
