Coke Studio Season 11 Artist Line up Revealed with Hum Dekhenge Ghazal

Coca-Cola Pakistan proudly announces the return of Pakistan’s biggest leading music platform. Coke Studio Season 11, for its eleventh consecutive season with the launch of its season opener, ‘Hum Dekhenge’, revealing over 70 artists as part of this landmark season.

Hum Dekhenge’ is a jewel in the repertory of Mr. Faiz as Coke Studio lends to this powerful Nazam (poetry).

Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi, the producers of season in question, adhered to their policy of switching things up in the show. This season they come up with a slogan promoting unity in diversity.

While Coke Studio season 10 failed to impress, we’re hoping this year’s change of command with producers Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi in charge, will be appealing to the audiences.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM COKE STUDIO SEASON 11?

The video stars a few Coke Studio regulars like Ali Azmat, Ali Sethi and Momina Mustehsan, alongside lesser known artists like EDM sister act from the USA, Krewella and rap acts like Young Desi and Lyari Underground will also be part of the show.

Meanwhile, Abida Parveen, Humaira Arshad, Abrar-ul-Haq, Gul Panrra and Shuja Haider drifted back into the show this season.

But the Most interesting feature of this season is that it entails transgender artists Lucky and Naghma in an episode, owing to which people took to social media to express their joy and for the first time , Coke Studio celebrates trans-individuals Lucky and Naghma.

Season 11 also marks the return of the house band, as reimagined by the producers, with Omran ‘Momo’ Shafique on acoustic and electric guitar. Babar Ali Khanna on dholak and percussions, Kamran ‘Mannu’ Zafar on bass, Kami Paul on drums and percussions and introduces Rufus Shahzad on keyboards. Joining the house band this season is Haniya Aslam as the first female house band member on Coke Studio. The season also features Shahab Hussain, Wajiha Naqvi and Mehr Qadir on backing vocals.
