Sonam Kapoor – Anand Ahuja’s alleged love story
After the buzz and glamour of Anushka Sharma’s marriage to Virat Kohli, another Bollywood wedding seems to be on the cards, and this time it’s the gorgeous Sonam Kapoor.
Sonam Kapoor is likely to get hitched to Anand in the month of May. Of late, the speculations of the destination of their much-awaited wedding have been doing the rounds. However, as per recent developments, the two are likely to get married in Mumbai itself and the preparations for the same have already begun.
Reportedly, Sonam and Anand will tie the knot in Mumbai on May 7, 2018. Although the ‘Neerja’ actor is too occupied with the promotions of her upcoming movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’, the wedding queries seem to be unending.
“Sonam is very sure of her feelings for Anand. He’s a very sorted boy and cares deeply for her. Although Anil was initially unsure about Anand, like all fathers are about their daughters’ boyfriends, over time, Anil and his wife Sunita have accepted Anand as part of their family,” the source revealed.
The source added: “Sonam’s brother Harshvardhan is also very comfortable in his company. It may be a destination wedding or a big fat Punjabi Delhi wedding. The two families are still to decide.”
According to a source, Sonam is likely to get back to the grind in July. She will be shooting for Shelly Chopra Dhar’s directorial debut, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’. Post which, she has her commitments for Abhishek Sharma’s ‘The Zoya Factor’, starring Dulquer Salmaan as the male lead.
Earlier when Sonam was asked about her wedding plans, she reportedly professed that she thinks the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to her than a wedding. She thinks there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and she would rather give that money away. She’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else. She believes that it’s important to do all the rituals. Sonam mentioned that she doesn’t believe in spending all that money, she finds it disgusting and very wasteful, and that she isn’t okay with that at all.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have been making headlines for quite a while now, because of rumours of an impending marriage announcement. Amidst these reports, new pictures of the Kapoor’s residence being decorated and lit up have gone viral, further fueling speculations of a grand celebration set to take place.
With reports stating that the star will wed her businessman beau in May, these new advancements have done little to squash those rumours. The Kapoor’s residence was decked up with chandeliers and colourful fairy lights which has fas and the media expecting a big announcement any time soon.
Meanwhile, talking about her marriage at the trailer launch of her upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ Sonam said, “Everybody will hear everything in all good time.”

Earlier, there was news that Janhvi Kapoor will be performing on Sridevi’s song ‘Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Chudiyan’ and ‘Kisi Ke Haath Naa Aayegi Yeh Ladki’ in the sangeet. Now according to a report in an entertainment portal, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are also going to burn the dance floor in the sangeet.
According to the portal, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will be seen dancing to Anil Kapoor’s hit number ‘My Name Is Lakhan’ in the function. Though both the actors have performed on this track earlier, it will still be a treat to watch the two stars dancing on this song in Sonam and Anand’s sangeet function.
Apart from this, reports even have it that Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor will also be performing in the function.
All that is left to do now is wait for an official announcement from the lovebirds, which may be coming anytime soon.
