Grand Premier Of #Afsar Movie in UK With The Leading Star Nimrat Khaira.
London’s Prestigious Courthouse Hotel in Mayfair played host to leading Punjabi
singing sensation and actress Nimrat Khaira this week, for the premiere of her debut
as a lead role in the film “Afsar.”
Directed by Gulshan Singh, Afsar is a story is about Jaspal Singh (played by Tarsem
Jassar), who has been asked to find a government job if he wants to marry Harman
(Nimrat Khaira), the woman he loves. The film chronicles his struggle of changing his
line of work for his beloved. Along with the Punjabi singing duo in the lead roles, the
movie also stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol and Rana Jung Bahadur.
The premiere was attended by over a hundred esteemed personalities including
representatives from the media and leading community figures.
Commenting on the premiere, Nimrat Khaira said, “It is an honour for me to join so
many Punjabi movie lovers in the UK for the premiere screening of my film Afsar. A lot
of love and effort has gone into this venture and I hope the audiences will enjoy it as
much we did whilst making it.”
The film is releasing in cinemas on the 5th October.
